Seed Starting

Dear Friends of WCG:

I just want to say thank you to those of you who came out to the garden for our Seed Starting workshops this past Saturday! I know that it was a bit of a tight squeeze in our Tomato Garden greenhouse. I really appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience as we work to prepare ourselves for the unprecedented number of people who are interested in learning about gardening this year.

As a follow-up to the course, I felt it would be helpful to share my seed-starting tips with you online, so I prepared a new organic seed starting guide. If you visit our Garden Resources page, you can find it by clicking on Seed Starting. The guide also includes a list of common vegetables you might wish to grow and growing information for each specific to Salt Lake County.

If you have a garden tip to share or would enjoy sharing your gardening stories with the community, please email to become a member of this blog! We’d love to hear from you.
