With a five-year waiting list for our community garden plots, we have been brainstorming ways to give more people access to land for gardening. One potential solution is yard-sharing, whereby people who have front or back yards but no time or inclination to garden, make their land available to people who want to grow food but do not have access to land. As a first step, we have three fabulous U of U students surveying folks about potential interest in a yard-sharing program for SLC. Intrigued? Take the survey and let us know what you think. In return, the first 100 people to respond will receive a coupon for a FREE heirloom veggie seedling at our plant sale (May 9th). The survey is anonymous and should take less than 2 minutes to complete.
Step 1: Fill out the first survey with some general questions: Click here to fill it out.
Step 2: If interested you are in yard-sharing (as a yard “sharer” or “sharee”) please take one more minute to complete the second survey: Click here.
Step 3: Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with an address for us to send you a coupon for a FREE heirloom veggie seedling at our May 9th plant sale. This is on the honor system!
